Sheku first shot to fame in 2016, winning the BBC’s Young Musician competition. Two years later, he performed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding. Still only 22, he performs internationally with the world’s greatest orchestras and in the most prestigious halls, records for Decca Classics and is a Bicentenary Postgraduate at the Royal Academy of Music.
This is an exciting chance to see him perform alongside his brother, Braimah, a versatile, Royal Academy-trained violinist, and his friend Plinio Fernandes, a young Brazilian guitarist of international renown. The trio have carefully selected their programme to give the audience a unique insight into how all three instruments can complement each other in different styles and contexts.
All proceeds from this special, one-off performance will go to Rennie Grove Hospice Care, supporting families affected by life-limiting illness.
Sample some performances by Sheku, Braimah and Plinio.
