Bottle bags made from jeans - Rennie Grove Hospice Care Reuse campaignThis spring, take on the Rennie Grove Reuse Challenge to help you, your local community and the planet!

During April and May we’re inviting you to visit your local Rennie Grove shop and get creative.

Browse the shelves and the rails for an item/s of clothing, a book, something for the home  - or basically anything – purchase your item/s and take a ‘before’ photograph.

Get your thinking cap on and come up with an imaginative and innovative idea for how you could reuse the item.

Could you:

  • Turn a pair of jeans into a handbag
  • Create a stunning piece of wall art out of pieces of china
  • Bling up a pair of shoes
  • Combine a number of necklaces into a layered piece of jewellery
  • Change hem or sleeve lengths to alter the style of an item of clothing
The possibilities are endless!

How to enter

Rennie Grove reuse campaign - Quilt made from shirtsPreloved items can have a second lease of life. Adapt, combine and upcycle your item to create something new and unique.

When your creation is complete, send your before and after photos to us at Show us the original item, tell us where you bought it, tell us your age, explain a bit about your inspiration, and wow us with what you’ve created!

Closing date for entries to the challenge will be 31 May 2022.

Entries will be judged in two categories:

  • under 18s
  • 18s and over

With a prize awarded to the entry in each category that the judges feel is most creative and useful.

Judges decision is final and the winning entries will be published on the Rennie Grove website and across social media channels.
