Winchmore Hill Open Gardens

Open Gardens

For many our gardens have become a sanctuary during lockdown, and most of us have spent more time than ever in our gardens creating beautiful surroundings.

Could you open your garden to friends, family or even the community to raise vital funds for Rennie Grove this Spring and Summer?

Our Open Gardens scheme gives you the chance to invite others to share your enjoyment and admire the results of your hard work whilst raising funds for Rennie Grove.

We would like to include gardens of all sizes, whether big or small, formal or informal, modern or traditional.

FlowerWhat you need to do

  • Find a day between May and September that works for you for opening your garden
  • Tell your family and friends about your event
  • Charge an entrance fee to those attending - we would suggest charging a min donation of £3
  • Sell refreshments - cake sales always go down well
  • Plant Sales are a good way to boost finds raised on the day and helps empty your over flowing green houses of seeds.

Support you will receive

  • Dedicated fundraiser to give advice on hosting your open garden
  • Support to ensure that your open garden is COVID-19 secure
  • Rennie Grove branded materials e.g collection tins, posters and banner
  • Contactless payment method can be provided with the use of a QR code
If you don’t feel comfortable with hosting an open garden in person, you could open your garden virtually by filming it, which we will then share.

Host a plant sale

If your Greenhouse is overflowing, could you host a plant sale? In the last year growing your own fruit and vegetables has become very popular and new garden plants desirable. Host it in your front garden or on your drive and invite your community to make a donation for their purchases. Collection tins and a contactless payment method as a QR code can be provided.
