Physiotherapy is designed to help you stay as active and independent as possible. By offering practical advice and support, our physiotherapist can help you to manage your physical and psychological well-being through a combination of appropriate simple exercises and the use of specialist skills and equipment.
Who can come?
To use this service, you need to be registered with a GP surgery within our catchment area of St Albans, Harpenden or Dacorum and have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
How do I get referred?
Any healthcare professional involved in your care, including your GP, can refer you. However if you are already known to Rennie Grove, you can be referred by a member of staff. Alternatively you can come to our Drop-in Session from 9am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday when our nurses will be able to advise you and assess you for this service.
What will happen during an appointment?
There will be an individual assessment and a treatment plan based on your needs. Appointments take place at Grove House (to which transport can be provided if necessary) or a home appointment can be arranged.
What does it cost?
Like all Rennie Grove services, physiotherapy is provided at no cost to the patient or their family. As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of the local community to fund around 85% of our annual running costs, allowing us to care for thousands of patients and families every year.
