Physiotherapy is designed to help you stay as active and independent as possible. By offering practical advice and support, our physiotherapist can help you to manage your physical and psychological well-being through a combination of appropriate simple exercises and the use of specialist skills and equipment.
Who can come?
To use this service, you need to be registered with a GP surgery within our catchment area of St Albans, Harpenden or Dacorum and have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
How do I get referred?
If you are already known to Rennie Grove, a member of staff can refer you.
If you are new to Rennie Grove, you can request a referral to 'Grove House Day Services' from any health care professional involved in your care, including your GP. Referral guidance for health care professionals can be found on our website here.
Alternatively, you can self-refer by phoning us on 01727 731013, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or calling in at Grove House during one of our Drop-in Sessions, which run Tuesday-Friday 9am-4pm. When self-referring, it is helpful if you can provide us with your GP name and address and your preferred method of contact.
What will happen during an appointment?
There will be an individual assessment and a treatment plan based on your needs. Appointments take place at Grove House (to which transport can be provided if necessary) or a home appointment can be arranged.
What does it cost?
Like all Rennie Grove services, physiotherapy is provided at no cost to the patient or their family.As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of the local community to fund around 85% of our annual running costs, allowing us to care for thousands of patients and families every year.
