Our weekly Drop-in Session is an informal morning when we welcome anyone to Grove House to find out more about how we help patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and the support we provide for them and their families.
Who can come?
Absolutely anybody! The morning is for patients, carers, family members, friends or colleagues and also for potential volunteers, other healthcare professionals and supporters of Grove House. If you have a concern that you would like to discuss with someone, if there is specific information that you need or if you simply have an interest in life-limiting illness and want to find out more about what we do, please do drop-in and join us.
What will happen when I get there?
You will be greeted by a volunteer receptionist who will make you comfortable and offer you a cup of tea or coffee. A member of staff will then come and talk to you about how we can help. , or, if needed, book an appointment with one of our clinicians for a time that suits you. It may be that you simply need the chance to chat to a friendly face but if you need more specific information or support, someone will be able to point you in the right direction.
When and where is the Drop-in Session held?
The Drop-in Session is held every Tuesday to Friday between 9am and 4pm at Grove House, which is located next to St Albans City Hospital.
What does it cost?
All Rennie Grove services are provided at no cost to our patients and families. If you would like to make a donation to support our work, please go to our donate page.
