Michael and Linda’s Story

“Last year I needed to call upon the services of Rennie Grove when my wife Linda became terminally ill and she sadly passed away after two months of wonderful care and support from their Hospice at Home nurses.”

“With the help of my sister-in-law, I sorted out her clothes and other belongings and donated to one of the Rennie Grove shops in Gadebridge, not far from my home. To my surprise, I received a letter from the charity to let me know that I had raised £328 from the sale of her goods and I continue to donate to the shop whenever I can.”

“With the onset of Covid-19, it was rather sad driving past the Rennie Grove shops and seeing that they were closed and I wanted to find another way to support the charity which had meant so much to us. I got in touch with their fundraising team and decided to set up a monthly gift to help pay towards the costs of running this vital service. I want Rennie Grove Peace to be there for all the other families in the community that may need their support.”

“By making a regular gift, I have become a ‘Friend of Rennie Grove Peace’. As well as a welcome letter, I now receive the bi-annual newsletter, Rennie Grove Peace Matters, to find out more about what is happening in my area.”
