Supporting hands volunteers

Volunteers in this role provide support, companionship, respite care and help reduce social isolation for our patients with a life-limiting illness and their carers in their homes and on trips out. This role may involve practical and emotional support and assistance.

Volunteering in this way helps free up valuable nursing time. Four hours volunteering a week could save Rennie Grove over £3,000 per year.

If you are looking for a flexible role that fits in with your current situation and are caring, compassionate and sensitive to others needs, ​please get in touch. This role may involve sharing an activity, accompanying a patient or carer on a walk or trip out from home, collecting prescriptions, light gardening or providing respite for carers.

We are seeking volunteers in both Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
