Compassionate Communities Group Volunteers are trained local people who offer their companionship, time, social and emotional support to people towards the end of life due to age or illness and/or people who are suffering with a loss, in a group setting like a Community Hub and/or Compassionate Café.
They are ambassadors for Rennie Grove Hospice Care in their local communities and are committed to the Compassionate Neighbours social movement to help reduce loneliness and social isolation.
All volunteers take part in a structured training programme. Once completed they are asked to support a local Community Hub and/or Compassionate Café.

Without the time our volunteers give to support all areas of our work, we couldn’t help all the families who need us. We have a wide range of volunteer roles with varying time commitments to suit people in different circumstances.
