No time to be sheepish

Have you heard the latest moos? There’s a stampede predicted down on the farm – and nothing is going to stand in its way of raising vital funds for your local hospice charity.

Harpenden Rugby Club The Farm Run

There are just a few days to go until Hammonds End Farm in Harpenden hosts the first-ever Farm Run on Sunday July 15 in aid of Rennie Grove.

Fran Fleming and her children have taken the bull by the horns and signed up for the 1K family fun run.  Fran said, “My daughters Ivy aged 4 and Nina aged 2 are very excited to be taking part in the fun run.  They are hoping that they might get the chance to spot a few farm animals, climb on some hay bales and even get a close up look at a tractor.  They are especially happy that they can wear fancy dress and we have been having fun planning their costumes.  It’s great that we can enjoy a family day out and raise money for a local charity at the same time.”

Anyone of any ability is invited to take part and enjoy the elaborate obstacle course in the farm’s beautiful, traffic-free, open countryside.

Kate Grigg, Head of Fundraising said: “We guarantee that everyone who attends will enjoy the run, the obstacles and the farm-related theme and still be back home in plenty of time to relax and enjoy the Word Cup Final!

“We cannot thank the Roberts family enough for their generosity in letting us use their farm for Rennie Grove’s newest fundraising event.”

Registration is open until midday on Friday 13 July or you can sign up on the day from 0930. So no time to be sheepish – round up the herd and join us for what promises a fun day down on the farm for all the family.
